This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and safeguard your Personal Data when you access or use our Sri Lanka eVisa application platform and related services (collectively, the "Service").

This Privacy Policy forms part of the Terms of Use governing your access to the Service. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described herein.

The capitalised terms used in this Privacy Policy have the meanings set out below:
Account – A unique account created for you to access the Service.
Affiliate – Any entity that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Company ("control" means ownership of ≥50 % of the voting securities).
Application – The Eklinga website and any associated software, systems, or platforms used for eVisa processing.
Company – eTourist Services Pvt Ltd.
Country – India (Company place of registration and primary operations).
Device – Any internet‑connected device (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.) used to access the Service.
Personal Data – Information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
Service – The Sri Lanka eVisa processing and support services provided via the Application.
Service Provider – Any natural or legal person processing data on behalf of the Company.
Third‑party Social Media Service – Any platform through which a user may log in or create an account to use the Service.
Usage Data – Data collected automatically from the Service or Service infrastructure (e.g., page‑visit duration).
You / User – The individual (or organisation on whose behalf an individual acts) using the Service.

2. Information Collected

2.1 Personal Data
To register and process your Sri Lanka eVisa application, we may collect (but are not limited to) the following:
* Full name, gender, date of birth
* Passport details
* Contact details (email, phone, residential address)
* Occupation, interests
* Photograph (uploaded or selfie)
* Payment details (card or bank information)
* Medical history or biometric data where required
* Usage Data

Provision of certain data is optional; however, declining to supply mandatory data may limit or prevent access to specific Service features.

2.2 Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically and may include IP address, browser type, Device identifiers, pages visited, and time/date stamps. When using a mobile device, additional diagnostics (e.g., operating system, mobile browser) may be collected.

2.3 Information Collected via Device Permissions
With your prior consent, we may access your Device’s camera or photo library to capture or upload required images. You can revoke permissions at any time in your Device settings.

3. Use of Information

We use collected information to:
1. Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
2. Manage your Account and registration;
3. Perform contractual obligations (e.g., submit visa applications);
4. Communicate Service‑related updates via email, SMS, calls, or push notifications;
5. Send news, offers, or similar products/services you may find relevant (opt‑out available);
6. Conduct analytics, improve functionality, and evaluate marketing effectiveness;
7. Facilitate corporate transactions (e.g., merger, reorganisation) where Personal Data may be transferred.

4. Information Sharing

We disclose Personal Data only in limited circumstances:
1. Service Analytics – Aggregated, anonymised statistics shared with analytics partners.
2. Group Entities & Service Providers – Affiliates or vendors processing data under strict confidentiality.
3. Facial Data Protection – Facial data is never shared with third parties.
4. Government & Diplomatic Missions – Necessary data shared to process visa applications.
5. Legal Obligations – Disclosures required by law or to protect rights, safety, or enforce Terms.
6. Public Areas & Social Media – Information voluntarily shared may be publicly visible.
7. Google API Compliance – Any Google‑sourced data handled per Google API Services User Data Policy.
8. With Your Consent – Any additional sharing occurs only with your explicit consent.

5. Accessing & Updating Personal Information

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your Personal Data by emailing [email protected].
* We will verify identity and respond within 24 hours where feasible.
* Requests that are excessive, infringe others’ privacy, or are impractical may be refused or subject to a reasonable fee.
* To withdraw consent or cancel your registration, contact [email protected]; we will act on valid requests within 24 hours, retaining only data required by law.

6. Retention of Information

* Personal Data is retained for up to 180 days after cancellation or withdrawal of registration, unless longer retention is required by law.
* Usage Data is kept for a shorter period unless needed for security, functionality, or legal compliance.

7. Transfer of Personal Data

Your data may be processed on servers outside your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers. We ensure adequate safeguards (encryption, contractual clauses, limited access) for all cross‑border transfers.

8. Information Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data, including encryption, access controls, and firewalled servers. While we strive for security, no system is completely infallible; please protect your credentials and report any suspected breaches.

9. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to monitor Service usage. Google may collect IP addresses, Device details, and usage patterns, processed per Google’s Privacy Policy. Users can opt out via browser add‑ons or mobile settings.

10. Payments

Paid products/services are processed by third‑party PCI‑DSS compliant processors. Eklinga does not store full payment‑card details. Your payment data is handled according to the processor’s privacy practices.

11. Google Places & Other Third‑Party Services

Our Application may utilise Google Places API for location data. Google may collect Device identifiers and location information subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

12. Links to Other Websites

The Service may contain external links. We do not control third‑party privacy practices and encourage you to review each site’s policy before providing Personal Data.

13. Updates to This Policy

We may amend this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be announced via email or prominent in‑app notice before they become effective. Continued use of the Service after notice signifies acceptance of the revised policy.

In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021, the Grievance Officer will resolve complaints within 15 days of receipt. Appeals may be filed with the Grievance Appellate Committee within 30 days of the Officer’s decision.
