1. Do You Have a Valid Residence Visa for Sri Lanka?
If you already hold a valid residence visa or long-term permit for Sri Lanka, you may not be eligible to apply for an e-Visa (ETA). The ETA is designed for short-term visits such as tourism, business meetings, or transit purposes. Please verify your visa status before applying.

2. Do You Have Dual Citizenship?
If you are a dual citizen, especially holding Sri Lankan citizenship along with another, you may not require an ETA for entry. Dual citizens with a valid Sri Lankan passport are generally expected to enter the country using their Sri Lankan credentials. If you're unsure about your eligibility, we recommend checking with the relevant Sri Lankan immigration authorities or contacting us for clarification before submitting your application.

4. Factors That Can Get Your Visa Rejected

When applying for a Sri Lanka e-Visa (ETA), certain common issues may lead to your application being declined. To avoid delays or rejections, make sure to review the following factors:
1. Expired or Soon-to-Expire Passport
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of arrival in Sri Lanka. Applications submitted with an expired or soon-to-expire passport are likely to be rejected.
2. Insufficient Financial Proof
Authorities may assess whether you have adequate financial means to cover your stay. Failing to show sufficient funds can lead to visa denial.
3. Criminal Record
A history of criminal activity, especially offenses that pose a security risk, may disqualify you from obtaining a visa.
4. Previous Visa Violations
If you have previously overstayed a visa, provided false information, or violated visa conditions in any country, this could negatively impact your application.
Visa approval is at the sole discretion of the Sri Lankan immigration authorities. We are a private agency providing assistance with the application process.
